A two-person studio: one engineer, one designer. You talk to both of us directly, so nothing gets relayed through an account manager before it reaches the person doing the work. We build our own products, deliver client websites end to end, and do the same work at no cost for local volunteer organizations.

A real share of what we do is unpaid, for organizations a few blocks away that run entirely on volunteer time.
Astoria Trash Club
WebA weekly neighborhood cleanup that is free and open to everyone. We built and maintain their website, plus the system that gets a cleanup from a spreadsheet row onto a public calendar without anyone touching code.
Astoria Food Pantry
WebThe pantry had stopped taking new delivery addresses because grouping them into walking and biking routes by hand had become too tedious. We are building a planner that does the grouping, so the limit on deliveries goes back to being volunteers rather than paperwork.

Questions - Things people ask us
- Two people? Really?
- Really. One engineer, one designer — that is the whole studio. It means we take on fewer projects than an agency would, and it means nobody is translating your request through three people before it reaches whoever does the work.
- Is the free work for nonprofits a loss leader?
- Fair question. No — there is no upsell waiting at the end of it. We live in Astoria, the people running these groups are our neighbors, and a website is a few evenings of our time. The only limit is honest capacity: paid work comes first, so we say yes to what we can actually finish.
- What does a website actually cost?
- It depends on how much of it exists already and how much has to be designed from nothing. Tell us what you have and roughly what you want to spend, and we will tell you straight away whether we are the right fit — including if the answer is that you need less than you think.
- Can you just keep our existing site alive?
- Yes, and it is some of our favourite work. Sites built years ago by someone who has since disappeared, running on dependencies nobody has updated — we take those over, patch them, and stay on call.
- Do you only work with people in Queens?
- No. The community work is local because showing up in person is the point. Client work happens anywhere.
