The problem - Why this needs to exist
Retyping a receipt is the worst part
Twelve line items, tax, tip, and a service charge, entered by thumb while everyone waits. Most people give up and split evenly, which quietly overcharges whoever had the salad.
"Do you have Venmo?" "No, Cash App."
The person owed has three apps, the person paying has two different ones, and nobody knows the overlap until they have already asked twice.
Nobody wants to be the one chasing
Once the split is sent, following up on who actually paid turns a nice dinner into an admin task with feelings attached.
What it does - The shape of it
Snap the receipt
Line items are extracted from a photo so you correct a few rather than type all of them. Manual editing is part of the flow, not a fallback.
Assign items to people
Pick a person, tap what was theirs, watch the unclaimed remainder drop to zero. Per-item extras and discounts are handled, and tax, tip and fees divide proportionally rather than as an equal cut.
Show every way to pay you
Each person saves their own handles — Venmo, Cash App, PayPal.me. The request shows the payer every option the payee accepts, as a tappable link with the amount and note pre-filled.
Requests you can follow without nagging
Each ask is tracked from sent to viewed to paid, on a public page that needs no account from the person paying.
